Once upon a time stars possessed, among talent, substance and grace. They were multi-hyphenates who exuded charisma, style, and sex appeal. Men like Sammy Davis Jr., Harry Belafonte and Nat King Cole became pop culture icons that dominated music, Broadway, Hollywood and fashion.

The current market is flooded with negative images of black men, and the media is in desperate need of an alternate display of young black manhood; one of substance and grace, reminiscent of the aforementioned gentlemen, while remaining relevant to today’s popular culture.

Introducing Dyllon Burnside, a multi-talented singer/rapper, actor and dancer. Since the tender age of 12, he has trained and collaborated with Grammy, Emmy, and Tony award-winning artists. He boasts incomparable stage craft, infectious charisma, and a style comparable to that of yesterday’s legends while steeped in modern sensibilities.

Having already performed in some of the nation’s greatest commercial houses including Madison Square Garden, starring on Broadway, film and television, he is poised for multimedia domination.

The Gentleman’s Club EP, his latest music venture, introduces a different narrative of the young black man in America. The EP is a reimagining of classic standards made famous by recordings from Sammy Davis Jr, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Fred Astaire. The sound, designed to reach fans of Duke Ellington and Chance the Rapper alike, is lush, sexy, sophisticated yet melodic and accessible.

The Gentleman’s Club will include new arrangements of pop standards influenced by current trends in hip hop, R&B, funk, and dance music. It will also include a cover of a current top-charting pop/hip hop song as well as an original song as a bonus track that fit within the sonic landscape of the project.

Taking its listeners on an epic aural journey, The Gentleman’s Club depicts various scenes from a gentleman’s night out on the town, beginning to end. Ranging from the preparation involved with “Top Hat, White Tie and Tails”, to the tantalizing beat setting the pulse of a plush and sexy speak easy in “Fascinating Rhythm”, and the woes of feeling lonely in a sea of people with the reflective “Lush Life”.

The release of the EP would be promoted through digital marketing and a tour, opening for acts such as: Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Janelle Monae, Harry Connick Jr., Gary Clark Jr., Aloe Blacc, and Leslie Odom Jr.

Dyllon is currently seeking an Executive Producer to support the creation of The Gentleman’s Club
